THROUGH BEING COOL?

Next Friday is the Mark Mothersbaugh show. I'm very excited...
I've gotten to meet Mark a few times and he's very cool, and
seemingly ego-less about his visual art! Which makes me a giant fan.
Anyone in the area should definitely come by and see the show.

Previous to my recent move, I lived in a lime green and fushia room.
Living in super brightly colored rooms is great if you can take it...keeps
your mood up remarkably.

BLUE ANGELS AND THE BLACK RIDER
Today we watched the Blue Angels (who I love) take off from Boeing field, which is right next to my new pad...(Remember what I said about it being quiet? Oh well..) anyway-it was interesting to see how many people turned up to watch it...this was just to watch the take off...they fly very low right over your head...anyhow- there was such an amazing group of diverse people that I was actually amazed.
As I was watching the jets,(there was an F-16 doing barrel rolls as well) I had two thoughts..one was "This is so f-ing COOL!" and the other was "Imagine these kinds of things flying over your city dropping bombs". That's a very simplistic statement but when you get a glimpse of military might it's pretty damn sobering. It also makes you think "It's odd how very beautiful our weapons are."

By the way- Joe Coleman has a huge new coffeetable book out- buy it, buy it now....
