PIDDLE
Today's animal adventure consisted of me getting peed upon by a giant grey headed Australian fruit bat. As I was scrounging around in the mulch cleaning up dropped food, ahem.."guano", and other sundry items, another keeper came in the enclosure and startled the bats at which point they let fly. Gross, but how many people can say with authority what bat pee smells like? Not too godamn many, as (soapbox alert) people continue to eradicate huge bat colonies completely disregarding the vital role they play in plant pollinization and seed distribution.
