Something about the oncoming spring always reminds me of when I was going to school in Halifax, Nova Scotia in the early 80's. One of my fond memories is of this health food store around the corner from my house...a little store in the bottom of a house in a neighborhood of townhouses...anyway- the owner was obsessed with Nina Hagen, and had zillions of pictures of her coating the walls of his teeny shop. I always thought that was cool. And so very 80's.

BRING ME MY COFFEE, BOBO!
Ohmygod- I gotta get me ONE OF THESE....
IT MUST BE HARD TO BE FAMOUS
When you say dumb stuff and it gets transmitted around the world- like what Eddie Vedder said at the Hall Of Fame Music Awards:

"Yeah, I do have a mohawk, and no, I didn't get it for this exulted event. It stemmed from my frustration with bombings and world events and I took it out on my own hair," Vedder said before introducing the band."

Kinda endearing in a retarded way.
AY CALAMA!
Scientists succesfully cross bred a lama and a camel. Is it just me or does the baby look like an ostrich?
Next up: Rhinostriches?

WELCOME TO THE JUNGLE
Plastic surgeon says that in 5 years surgery to give humans tails and wings will be a reality...not to mention horns, and other surgery to make one appear more animal like. I could really use a prehensile tail.
NEVER MIND THE COUGAR....
Prof. Von Hagens is at it again...the artist responsible for human sculptures made from human cadavers that have been "plastinated" and then artfully flayed...is bringing his show "Body Works" to the UK amid controversy...strangely enough. I'm actually half debating about going to London to see this now.

PLEASE GOD- JUST LET A COUGAR EAT ME PART 3
OR " O DEATH, WHERE IS THY STING?" -IN YOUR WALLET...
Graveyards face overcrowding as the preservatives people EAT are causing them to decompose super slowly- if at all.
Speaking of which, I've been absorbed in Jessica Mitford's "The American Way Of Death", originally published in 63 (updated in 96), about the scamaroo that is the funeral industry. I'm contemplating doing research as to what has changed- though I suspect much hasn't. Seriously- the book is old, but good reading...good to know what you've got to brace yourself against if you ever have to plan a funeral- especially an simple, affordable one.
LIVING FOSSIL OR RADIOACTIVE MUTANT?
Giant wierdo fish washes ashore...what can it be? It LOOKS like one of those extremely ancient looking African river fish who's name escapes me...
GODAMMIT!
This asteroid-nearly-swiping-the-earth business is happening WAY TOO OFTEN for my liking. No sir, I don't like it ONE BIT.
